WHEREAS, the Miami Zoning Board at its meeting of January 9, 1978, Item No. 12(a), following an advertised hearing, adopted Resolution No. ZB 13-78 by a 7 to 0 vote recommending request for vacation and closure for a sub -minimum width lot as part of the condition of approval of the official vacation and closure of that portion of N.E. 52nd Street bounded by the West right-of-way line of N.E. 2nd Avenue westward for a distance of 458.495' and also that portion of N.E. 1st Court between the North right-of-way line of N.E. 51st Street and the South right- of-way line of N.E. 52nd Street, all in conjunction with Tentative Plat No. 994-A - "DOUGLAS GARDENS HOUSING". Also in conjunction with (a) A change of zoning petition of :said parts of Tracts A & (b) Variance petition for lot coverage;&(c) Conditional Use petition for construction of a buildingrADO, tipf Oh an ITEM NO...._-_-- " WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it advisable and in the best interest of the general welfare of the City of Miami and its inhabitants to grant the vacation and closure as herein- after set forth; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1, That portion of N.E. 52nd Street bounded by the West right-of-way line of N.E. 2nd Avenue westward for a distance of 458.495' and also that portion of N.E. 1st Court institution for the aged; and between the North right-of-way line of N.E. 5lst Strep CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF FEB2 3 1978 NIKOMONt#4., 3; South right-of-way line of N,E, 52hd Street, all it conjunction with Tentative Plat No. 994=A "DOUGLAS GARDENS HOUSING", also in conjunction with (a) A change of zoning petition of said pets of Tracts "A" & "B"; (b) Variance petition for lot coverage; & (c) Conditional Use petition for construction of a building in connection with an institution for the aged, be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, abandoned and discontinued for public use. Deferred from the meeting of December 19 in order that the applicant can 1) meet with people in the neighborhood to explain the plans and 2) get together with the Depart- ment of Public Works to settle the question of safety access through the proposed closed section of NE 52 Street. Recommended APPROVAL, January 7, 1978, by a 7-0 vote.
