On behalf of nine substance abuse rehabilitative programs, I
would like to be place on the agenda for the next City Commission
Meeting on February 23, 1978. The programs I represent are the
affiliate agencies of the Dade County Comprehensive Drug Program.
We are requesting that the city levy a five to ten cent tax on all
beet sold in fhe Orange Bowl. The proceeds to be distributed to
the nine substance abuse programs on a pre -agreed to formula. A
draft of our proposal will be sent to you and the other commissioners
prior to the meeting.
