HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-08766JBA/rb 2/2S/78 ORDINANCE NO, 8/66 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 24'OF ARTICLE III, "LOST, CAPTURED, ABANDONED, STOLEN OR WRECKED PERSONAL PROPERTY", CHAPTER 43, "POLICE", OF THE CODE OE THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, TO PROVIDE FOR THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE CITY MANAGER TO DISPOSE OF OR SELL CERTAIN UNCLAIMED PROPERTY, INCLUDING VEHICLES, SEIZED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE HEREIN ARTICLE; cONTAININc A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND DISPENSING WITH THE REQUIREMENT OF READING SAME ON TWO SEPAR- ATE DAYS BY A VOTE OF NOT LESS THAN FOUR -FIFTHS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 24 of Article III, "Lost, Captured, Abandoned, Stolen or Wrecked Personal Property", chapter 43, "Police", Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended is hereby further amended in the following 1/ particulars: "Sec. 43-24. Sale. After the expiration of the period of forty-five days provided in section 43-21. the city manager shall is authorized to dispose of or sell any property, exe�ee�xg including vehicles not claimed or reduced to possession by the owner thereof, at public sale, after advertising in a newspaper of general circulation in the city at least one time ten days prior to such sale. Such publication may be made before the termination of such forty-five day period, for a sale thereafter." Section 2. All ordinances, code sections, or Section 3.
