(1) When the City CoMissioh determined that no layoffs will occur in the fiscal year 1977=78 budget, funds were added to various departments. Included in those additions were $256,496 to the Departtent of Solid Waste for purchase of replacement trucks due to the retention of personnel who were previously scheduled for layoff, and $99,179 to the Department of Computers and Communications for salaries of personnel who were previ,- ously scheduled for layoff. These funds were appropriated in the General Fund in Ordinance No. 8731, the Annual Appropriations Ordinance, but like appropriations were, hot transferred to the Intragovernmental Funds which provide the services. Therefore, it is necessary to amend Ordinance No. 8731 to increase the Intragovernmental Service Fund Building and vehicle Maintenance in an amount of $256,496 and to increase the Intragovernmental Fund Computers and Communications in an amount of $99,179. The attached proposed ordinance would accomplish the needed adjustments. Please note that these are accounting adjustments and would not increase operating budgets.
