WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8691 on September 8, 1977, approving appropriations for the operation and main- tenance of Gusman Hall and the Olympia Building of the City of Miami for fiscal year 1977-78; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 6691 did not include an appropriation for ad valorem tares because the Off -Street Parking Authority was under- going negotiations with the Dade County Tax Assessor's Office to determine the amount, if any, of taxes to be assessed; and WHEREAS, it has now been determined that an amount of $8,577 in ad valorem taxes must be paid on the Gusman Hall - Olympia Building; and WHEREAS, funds are available in the General Fund, Special Programs and Accounts, Contingent Fund to provide for the required payment; and WHEREAS, a transfer can be made within the General Fund, Special Programs and Accounts, from the Contingent Fund to an account entitled, "Contribution to Gusman Hall. - Olympia Building;" NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, KORIDA; Section 1, Section 1 of Ordinance No, 8691, adopted September 8, 1977, as amended., the annual appropriations ordinance for the operation and maintenance of Gusman Hall and the Olympia Building of the city of Miami for fiscal year 19/7.084 is hereby further amended is the follow tig 1/ particulars "Section 1$ the etipettditures to be -Made by the begat t.. meat of bffs=5tteet parking for the operation and hairnet%' attce of Gustt tt 1#ai1. and the Olympia Building of the City of Miami, as set fortis its schedule A attached'hereto, for the fiscal year ending September 10, 1978, Ate hereby approved together With the enumerated sources of rettettue, as set forth itt schedule h et'tached hetetos * DEPARTMENT of OFF.sTktET 1.'ARIUNG G & 0 ENTERPRISE FUND 1977/78 BUDGET REQUEST * * * PAYMENT, TO DADE COUNTY FOR 19.77 $ 8, 5 7 7 TAX OBLIGATIONS Total Request $4;4 G43 $2.82,620 SCHEDULE "A" * 1977/78 BUDGET G & 0 ENTERPRISE FUND REVENUE ESTIMATES CONTRIBUTION FROM GENERAL FUND 4297422 $37,999 GRAND TOTAL *** $a447388 $282,877 SCHEDULE "B" Section 2. We do not have the funds to reimburse the Finance Department for this amount of $8,976.02 to cover the 1977 property taxes for the Olympia Building. These funds were not in the Gusman Hall and Olympia Building bddget for 1977/78, therefore, it will be necessary for this amount to be added to the deficit for the operation of Gusman Hall and the Olympia Building. As soon as we receive the reimbursement from you on this, we will be in a position to pay the Finance Department the amount due on their Invoice No.170108.
