A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF MODERNFOLD
OF MIAMI, INC. FOR FURNISHING A FOLDING
PARTITION FOR THE AUDITORIUM OF THE ANNETTE
EISENBERG TEEN CENTER IN EDISON PARK FOR THE
PARKS DEPARTMENT AT A TOTAL COST OF $11,069;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE 2ND YEAR FEDERAL
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUND;;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING
AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS
EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to public Notice, sealed bids
were received January 16, 1978 for the furnishing of a folding
partition forthe Auditorium of the Annette Eisenberg Teen
Center in Edison Park for the Parks Department; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 15 potential
suppliers and 2 bids were received; and
WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Parks
Department for the purpose of improving the function and acoustical
quality of the Auditorium; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Parks Department
recommend that the bid received from Modernfold of Miami, Inc.
be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The January 16, 1977 bid of Modernfold
of Miami, Inc. for furnishing a folding partition for the Auditor—
ium of the Annette Eisenberg Teen Center in Edison Park for the
Parks Department, at a total cost of $11,069, is hereby accepted
with funds hereby allocated from the 2nd Year Federal Community

Development Block Grant Fund.
ITEM N0.
Section 2, The City Manager is hereby authorized to
instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase order for this
equipment.

Recommendation for Resolution and
Award of Bid: Folding Partition

Pursuant to public notices sealed bids were received
January 16, 1978 for furnishing a folding partition
for the Auditorium of the Annette Eisenberg Teen Center
in Edison Park for the Department of Community Develop-
ment.
Invitations were mailed to fifteen (15) potential sup-
pliers and two bids were received as follows:

Price
$11,069.00
$11,850.00
Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Com-
munity Development Funds.
The folding partition is necessary to improve the function
and acoustical quality of the auditorium.
It is recommended that the award be made and a resolution
be prepared accepting the most advantageous bid as receiv-
ed from Modernfold of Miami, Inc. for furnishing a folding
partition for the Auditorium of the Annette Eisenberg
Teen Center in Edison Park for the Department of Community
Development at a total cost of $11,069.00.
The Department of Community Development concurs with this
recommendation.
