A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE IN
LIEU OF CONDEMNATION, A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE AND THREE
(3) LOTS, SAID LOTS BEING COMPRISED OF TWELVE THOUSAND
(12,000) SQ. FT., M/L LOCATED AT 6230 NORTHEAST FIRST
AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA, FOR THE SUN OF FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND
($45,000) DOLLARS, AND ALLOCATING FORTY-SIX THOUSAND
($46,000) DOLLARS FROM FIRE FIGHTING, FIRE PREVENTION &
RESCUE FACILITY BOND FUNDS TO COVER THE COST OF ACQUISITION OF
FEE SIMPLE TITLE TO THIS PROPERTY AND OTHER COSTS INCIDENTAL
TO THE ACQUISITION.
WHEREAS, the property located at 6230 Northeast First Avenue,
Miami, Fla. is proposed to be acquired for Fire Station No. 9; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has approved the acquisition of
this property to provide for Fire Station No. 9, and concurs with the
recommendation to acquire this parcel; and
WHEREAS, funds from Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention & Rescue
Facility Bonds, as identified in Paragraph B, Subparagraph 2 of the General
W cr)Obligation Bond Appropriation are available to acquire said parcel; and
Z WHEREAS, the owner of the property has, by Agreement dated the
C" (a2nd day of December, 1977, offered to convey fee simple title to this
Jproperty to the City of Miami, Florida, for the appraised price of Forty -Five

WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interes�� o'f the ity of Miami,
Florida to acquire the property at this time through purchase in lieu of
condemnation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to purchase Luc property located at 6230 Northeast First Avenue,
Miami, Florida, legally described as:
Lots 3, 4, and 5, Block 5
Inglewood Gardens
Plat Book 13, Page 57
for the development of Fire Station No, 9, for the sum of $45,000.00.

Section 2, That $46,000,00 be and it is hereby allocated from
the Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention & Rescue Facility Bonds, as identified
by Paragraph B, Subparagraph 2 of the General Obligation Bond Appropriation
Bond Ordinance, to cover the cost of acquisition of fee simple title to
this property, and other costs incidental to this acquisition.

Per memorandum dated December 13, 1977, from Chief D.A. Hickman, Director, Depart.,
merit of Fire, authorization was received to acquire property for Fire Station No. 9.
This acquisition is the third and final parcel of the three parcels involved, which
completes the total acquisition.
Nineteen (19) I.A.I. appraisers were solicited for bids and three (3) proposals were
received. The appraiser selected submitted the lowest fee.
