Gloria Calhoun called and wished this office to schedule an appearance
hy Clair Weintraub for the next Commission meeting. Hrs. Weintraub
will present o petition signed by homeowners along the 3000 block of
Dricko11 Avonuc for a zoning change from g1 to R18, oimiliar to the
recent request in the Grove. It is hoped that the Commission will
then ask for a study of this matter.

The undersigned request that the honorable Mayor
and City Commission order a planning study of the area at
the intersection of Brickell AVenue, South Miami Avenue
and the Rickenbacker Causeway southward along "lower"
Brickell Avenue, the Bay, and Miami Avenue to the Vi2caya
Art Museum,
The area has developed over many years into his-
torically unique and beautiful single family residential
streets with 100' minimum lot frontages with 17,500 square
feet and larger plots. The undersigned feel* that a change
in zoning from R-1 to R-113 is needed in order to preserve
the existing character of the neighborhood) and remove area
from PUD and PUN Status.
