RE: Fee Waiver for Marine Stadium;
S. E, Florida Chapter, National
Multiple Sclerosis Society
Dear Sir:
I wrote to you upon December 21, 1977, regarding fee waiver for
the Society's use of the Marine Stadium on April 22, 1978, You
referred my request to the City Manager, who rejected the request
on the basis that it did not conform with the policy criteria.
I am not quite in agreeement with the City Manager, and respectfully
request that the Society be given an opportunity to express its
views at the City Commission meeting for January 24, 1973.
Respectfully r•urs,
Haro d Peter Barka

I am Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the above - captioned
organization.
We have made appropriate arrangements to bring Julio Iglesias
to this country for a fund - raising concert the evening of
April 22, 1978.
Through the generous assistance of friends, the concert will
not represent any cost to us whatsoever, that is, if the City
of Miami will waive its fee for the Marine Stadium, which we
feel is the most suitable site for the event.
Please let me hear from you at your convenience as to the
feasibility of the Society's request for waiver of e.
