RESOLUTION No. 7 8 7 8
A RESOLUTION CLOSING, VACATING, A$ANbONING
AND DISCONTINUING THE PUBLIC USE of THAT
PORTION OF THE ALLEY LYING WITHIN NORTH
MIAMI (A 49-1/2), bounded by N.E. 1ST
COURT AND N.E. 2ND AVENUE SOUTH OF THE
SOUTH RIGHT-or-WAY,LINE OF N.E. 16TH STREET
FOR A DISTANCE OF ± 120',IN CONJUNCTION WITH
TENTATIVE PLAT #976-13 "JEFFERSON'S ADDITION".
WHEREAS, the Miami Zoning Board, at its meeting of
December 5, 1977, Item No. 7, following an advertised Hearing,
adopted Resolution No. ZB 226-77 by a 6 to 0 vote, recommending
the official vacation and closure of that portion of the alley
lying within NORTH MIAMI (A - 49-1/2), bounded by N.E. 1st Court
and N.E. 2nd Avenue south of the south right-of-way line of N.E.
16th Street for a distance of - 120', in conjunction with
Tentative Plat k976-B "JEFFERSON'S ADDITION"; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it advisable and in
the best interest of the general welfare of the City of Miami and
its inhabitants to grant the vacation and closure as hereinafter
set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That portion of the alley lying within
NORTH MIAMI (A - 49-1/2), bounded by N.E. 1st Court and N.E. 2nd
Avenue south of the south right-of-way line of N.E. 16th Street
for a distance of - 120', in conjunction with Tentative Plat
¥k976-B "JEFFERSON'S ADDITION" be and the same is hereby closed,
vacated, abandoned and discontinued for public use.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24rh day of January, 1978.

EXPLANATION
RECOMMENDATION
Application for Public Hearing to request the official
vacation and closure of that portion of the alley lying
within NORTH MIAMI (A-49-) bounded by N. E. 1st Court
and N. E. 2nd Avenue south of the south right-of-way line
of N. E. 16th Street for a distance of + 120', in conjunc-
tion with Tentative Plat ff976-B "JEFFERSON'S ADDITION".
Closure of the rest of this alley will allow construction of
the proposed parking garage which will become part of the
required parking for the Store across the street from this
site.
PLANNING
DEPARTMENT APPROVAL. This street closure is consistent with the
approved plan for a parking garage.

following an advertised hearing, adopted Resolution No. ZI3 226-77 by
a 6 to 0 vote (1 member absent) RECOMMENDED the Official Vacation and
Closure of that portion of the alley lying within NORTH MIAMI (A-491) ,
bounded by N.E. 1st Court and N.E. 2nd Avenue south of the south
right-of-way line of N.E. 16th Street for a distance of + 120' in
conjunction with Tentative Plat m976-B "JEFFERSON'S ADDITION".
There were no objections.
A RESOLUTION to provide for this alley closure has been prepared by
the City Attorney's office and submitted for consideration of the
City Commission.
