FOLLOW" WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received January 30 1978 for the furnishing of thirteen dump bodies for the Depart- ment of Building and Vehicle Maintenance and the Department of Parks; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-one potential suppliers and three bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the Garage Re- placement Reserve of the Department, of Building and Vehicle Maintenance and the 1977-1978 Fiscal Year Budget of the Department of Parks; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance and the Department of Parks in the conversion of City trucks in order to tGe the new County disposal transfer station; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance recommend that the bid received from Callahan Motor Co., Inc. be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISION OF TIME CITY OF 'DOCUMENT. The January 3, 197B bid of Callahan Motor Cu., I ... for furnishing thirteen rubbish dump bodies at a total cost of $45,742.45 is hereby accepted with funds in the amount of $35,186.50 hereby allocated from the Garage Replacement Reserve of the Building and Vehicle Maintenance Department and funds in the amount of $10,555.95 hereby allocated from the 1977-1978 Fiscal Year Budget of the Department of Parks. Recommendation for Resolution and Award of Bid: Dump Bodies Tabulation Pursuant to Public Notice) sealed bids were received January 3) 1978 for furnishing ten dump bodies for the Department of Build- ing and Vehicle Maintenance and three for the Department of Parks. Invitations were mailed to twenty-one potential suppliers and three bids were received as per the attached tabulation. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the Garage Re- placement Reserve in the amount of $35,186.50 and $10)555.95 from the 1977-1978 Fiscal Year Budget of the Department of Parks. The City is converting its own trucks to provide equipment which will be required in order to use the new transfer station - dis- posal operation, to be operated by Dade County. It is recommended that the award be made and a resolution be pre- pared accepting the most advantageous bid as received from Callhan Motor Co., Inc. for furnishing ten dump bodies for the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance and three for the Departrnent of Parks at a total cost of $45,742.45.
