RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE POLICY
OF THE CITY COMMISSION AS PROVIDED IN
ORDINANCE NO. 8735 , PASSED AND ADOPTED
JANUARY 11, 1978, COVERING THE SERVING
OR DISPENSING OF INTOXICATING BEVERAGES
AT RECEPTIONS OR SOCIAL GATHERINGS HELD
AT THE MIAMI ORANGE BOWL MEMORIAL STADIUM
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ATTACHED STANDARDS
AND CRITERIA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI. FLORIDA:
Section 1. As provided in Ordinance No. 8735
passed and adopted .January 11, 1978, a policy is hereby
established for the serving or dispensing of intoxicating
beverages at receptions or social gatherings held at the
Miami Orange Bowl Memorial Stadium in accordance with the
attached standards and criteria.

SUBJECT:
A policy outlining the criteria for conduct of any reception of
social gathering at the Miami Orange Bowl Memorial Stadium, where
intoxicating beverages may be served or dispensed. (See Ordinance
No. 8735 , passed and adopted January 11, 1978.)
PURPOSE:
To provide reasonable controls relative to the serving or dispensing
of intoxicating beverages at receptions or social gatherings held at
the Miami Orange Bowl. Memorial Stadium.
POLICY:
Ordinance No. 8735 , passed and adopted January 11, 1978, governs
the subject of "Alcoholic and Intoxicating Beverages" at the Miami
Orange Bowl Memorial Stadium and says, among other things, that
"Intoxicating beverages may he served or dispensed in those areas
of the stadium specifically designated by the City Manager, subject
to and conditioned upon such terms and conditions as are specified
by the City Manager. Such specifications shallimplement policy
imposed by the City Commission concerning such serving or dispensing."
The following policies are therefore adopted and will constitute City
Commission policy implementing the aforesaid ordinance:
A. Intoxicating beverages may be served or dispensed at
receptions or social gatherings held in those areas of
the stadium specifically designated by the City Manager.
B. A reception or social gathering at which intoxicating
beverages are served by the user of the stadium may not
last more than a specified time designated by the City
Manager.
C. There shall be no charge for any refreshments, including
intoxicating beverages, which may be served or dispensed
at said receptions or gatherings in the designated area(s);
further, no one leaving any such designated area may carry
any intoxicating beverage from such area into any other
part of the stadium.
D. Specific permission will be required from the City Manager
before receptions or social gatherings involving the serv-
ing or dispensing of intoxicating beverages, and the City
Manager shall require compliance by the user of all condi-
tions generally required for the use of City facilities.

At its meeting of December 15, 19773 the City Commission
passed, on first reading, an Ordinance allowing and authorizing
the sale of beer and/or .:salt beverages in the Orange Bowl
Stadi•iri The pending Ordinance further has a provision which
