It is necessary to provide funding for maintenance of the Municipal Justice building by the Building and Vehicle Maintenance Department. A budget of $52,246 has been submitted by C. B. Cox, Director of Building and Vehicle Maintenance. A copy is attached. The funds are to be acquired through transfers of $46,046 from the maintenance budget for the Police Department and $6,200 from the Dallas Park Apartments budget, for total of $52,246. It should be noted that the transfer of funds from the Police Department maintenance budget has been made possible through a reorganization of manpower in the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance, in cooper- ation with the Police Department. The reorganization is not expected to significantly affect the maintenance services to the Police Department. Also, the transfer from the Dallas Park Apartments budget was made possible due to the vacating of that building. Attached please find a draft ordinance to appropriate $52,246 for maintenance of the Municipal Justice Building.
