(Wynwood CEA) 561 NW 32 Street Miami, FL 33127 A Resolution of the Board of the Wynwood Community Enhancement Association (Wynwood CEA) Appointing Mikhail Gurevich to the NRD-2 Public Benefits Trust Fund Committee WHEREAS, Wynwood CEA is a not for profit corporation registered in the State of Florida and active since 2018; and WHEREAS, the mission of the Wynwood CEA is to provide a unified voice for neighborhood improvements and enhancing the quality of life of current and future residents; and WHEREAS, Chapter 62, Section 62-647, et seq. of the City of Miami Code of Ordinances establishes the NRD-2 Public Benefits Trust Fund to collect cash contributions made according to the Wynwood Norte Neighborhood Revitalization District ("NRD-2") as established in Ordinance No. 13114, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("Miami 21 Code"), to support community reinvestment, including infrastructure to support local businesses providing neighborhood -oriented goods and services; to address climate change adaptation and resiliency; and to maintain and supplement affordable/workforce housing, public parks and open space, and civic space or civil support space within the NRD-2 boundaries. WHEREAS, Section 62-648 of the City Code calls for an NRD-2 trust fund committee to recommend allocations of funds received into the NRD-2 trust fund for qualifying reinvestment consistent with the intent set forth in Section 62-647, of which two (2) members shall be appointed by the Wynwood CEA to be confirmed by the City Commission; and WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy on the NRD-2 trust fund committee for one of the Wynwood CEA appointments; and WHEREAS, the Wynwood CEA Board has identified an individual, Mikhail Gurevich, who meets the criteria set forth in Section 62-648(c)(2)b. of the City Code, to serve as an appointee to the NRD-2 trust fund committee, as a property owner of record within the NRD-2 boundaries. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the WCEA Board unanimously appoints Mikhail Gurevich to serve on the NRD-2 trust fund committee pursuant to Section 62-648 of the City Code, and transmits this Resolution to the City Clerk and Chairwoman of City Commission for inclusion on next available city commission agenda for confirmation by the City Commission. Previously, as Business Expansion Director for a leading international footwear retailer, he was responsible for site selection, lease negotiations, and store construction oversight. During his tenure, he successfully opened over 100 locations totaling approximately 500,000 square feet across five European countries. Upon returning to the United States, Mikhail served as Director of Development for Hirshmark Capital, a New York -based real estate private equity firm. In this role, he led the acquisition, renovation, management, and disposition of numerous residential and commercial properties.
