A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT ("CDBG") FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR ("FY") 2025-2026, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$753,942.45 IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE CATEGORY, AND THE AMOUNT OF
$7,258.16 FROM PREVIOUS YEAR'S CDBG UNALLOCATED PROGRAM INCOME,
FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $761,200.61, TO THE AGENCIES AND/OR
DEPARTMENTS, SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT "A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED,
FOR PUBLIC SERVICE ACTIVITIES; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING AMENDMENTS, RENEWALS, EXTENSIONS, AND
MODIFICATIONS, ALL IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY,
SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS THAT REGULATE THE
USE OF SUCH FUND, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
Background of Item:
Pursuant to Resolution No. 25-0287, adopted July 24, 2025, the Miami City Commission
approved the allocation of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funds for
Fiscal Year ("FY") 2025-2026, in the total amount of $5,026,283.00, which included an
amount of $753,942.45 in the Public Service program category.
There is an unexpended amount of $7,258.16 from the previous year's CDBG program
income earmarked for Public Services that needs to be allocated.
These funds need to be allocated to the agencies and/or departments, specified in
Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, for public service activities beginning October 1,
2025.
The City's Administration recommends the allocation of CDBG funds in the Public
Service category, in the amount of $753,942.45, and the amount of $7,258.16 from the
previous year's CDBG program income, for a total amount of $761,200.61 to the
agencies and/or departments, specified in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated, for
public service activities.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-25-0287, adopted July 24, 2025, the Miami

WHEREAS, there is an unexpended amount of $7,258.16 from the previous year's

WHEREAS, these funds need to be allocated to the agencies and/or departments,
specified in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, for public service activities beginning
October 1, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the City's Administration recommends the allocation of CDBG funds in the
Public Service category, in the amount of $753,942.45, and the amount of $7,258.16 from the
previous year's CDBG program income, for a total amount of $761,200.61 to the agencies
and/or departments, specified in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, for public service
activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this section.
Section 2. The allocation of CDBG funds in the Public Service category, in the amount of
$753,942.45, and the amount of $7,258.16 from the previous year's CDBG unallocated program
income, for a total amount of $761,200.61 to the agencies and/or departments, specified in
Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated, for public service activities; is authorized.'
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute any and all
necessary documents, including amendments, extensions, and modifications, all in forms
acceptable to the City Attorney, subject to all federal, state, and local laws that regulate the use
of such funds for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
