A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE OFFER Cr D. W.
WHITMAN TO DEDICATE CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR
STREET WIDENING ON SW 13TH S -o+ AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, S. W. 13th Street has been paved to a width of 48 feet
on a right-of-way of 50 feet and it is necessary to secure a dedica-
tion of 10 feet off the south side of lots 21, 22 and 23, Block 89-
South to provide area for the construction of Sidewalk on the north
side of said SW 13th Street; and
WHEREAS, W. D. W. Whitman, owner of said lots, has agreed to
make the necessary dedication in consideration of the City construc-
ting, without cost to him, a standard concrete sidewalk on the ten
feet to be so dedicated and in further consideration of the City re-
funding the assessments against said ten feet abutting upon South
Miami for improvements on South Miami Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Commission considers the offer made by said D. W.
Whitman a fair offer; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMt:ISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAs :
1. That the offer of D. W. Whitman to dedicate ten feet of
property off the south side of Lots 21, 22 and 23, Block 89-South
for sidewalk purposes in consideration of the City constructing a
sidewalk on the ten feet so dedicated and cancelling or refunding
assessments made against said ten feet for improvements on South
Miami Avenue be, and the same is hereby accepted.
2. That the sum of 0395.00, for constructing such sidewalk,
ant the sum of 064.96, for cancelling or refunding the assessment
against the ten feet of property to be dedicated, be, and the same
are hereby appropriated from the Street 7idening Bond Fund.
