WHEREAS, on September 26, 2024, the City Commission, pursuant to Resolution No. R-24-0389, adopted a General Fund budget for the City of Miami ("City") for the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2024, and ending September 30, 2025 ("Fiscal Year 2024-25"), in the amount of $1,166,801,000 and the total budget for all non -capital funds in the amount of $1,793,053,000 ("Adopted Budget"); and WHEREAS, it is necessary to make corresponding adjustments to the Adopted Budget, as amended; and WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends this amendment to the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Adopted Budget, in which the Adopted Budget's General Fund appropriation be changed from $1,192,240,000 to $1,193,972,000, and the total Adopted Budget for all non - capital funds to be accordingly changed from $1,958,789,000 to $1,960,521,000; and WHEREAS, on April 13, 2023, pursuant to Resolution No. R-23-0178, the City of Miami ("City") created the Miami For Everyone ("MFE") Program to assist communities facing the long- term complications resulting from declared emergencies and to address the specific needs of the most vulnerable residents and businesses, through a strategy of focusing the provision of support towards priority areas of need that will further stabilize economic conditions within City Districts; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-23-0178, the City appropriated a total of Forty -Six Million and 00/100 Dollars ($46,000,000.00) to jump start the MFE Program; and WHEREAS, the City intends to deallocate funds in a total amount not to exceed One Million, Seven Hundred Thirty -Two Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($1,732,000.00) from the Mayor's share of the Miami For Everyone Program Special Revenue Fund 15503; and WHEREAS, the City intends to allocate and appropriate funds in a total amount not to exceed One Million, Seven Hundred Thirty -Two Thousand and 00/100 ($1,732,000.00) From General Fund 00001 to the Mayor's Departmental Improvement Initiative Special Fund 15500; and WHEREAS, the allocations and appropriations authorized pursuant to this Resolution are subject to all applicable Federal, State of Florida ("State"), local, and City laws, rules and regulations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized' to allocate and appropriate an amount not to exceed One Million, Seven Hundred Thirty -Two Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($1,732,000.00) from General Fund 00001, to the Mayor's Departmental Improvement Initiative Special Fund 15500. Section 3. Certain necessary actions by the City Manager and the designated City officials and departments to update the relevant financial controls, project close-outs, accounting entries, and computer systems in connection herewith and for grants in progress are hereby ratified, approved, and confirmed. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.2 APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: rge Wyy•ng III, C yttor -y 9/2/2025 1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all legal requirements that may be imposed, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code provisions. 2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
