Background of Item:
On June 10, 2024, a fire emerged at the Temple Court Apartment Building located at
431 NW 3rd Street, Miami, Florida 33128, which caused major damage to the
infrastructure of the property. The City's Building Unsafe Structures Division ("Unsafe
Structures") declared the property unsafe and uninhabitable due to the structural
damage caused by the fire. It was determined that a demolition was necessary to
ensure the safety of the City residents as the property would potentially collapse.
Therefore, Unsafe Structures is respectfully requesting retroactive approval of this
purchase for demolition purposes.
