HomeMy WebLinkAboutBusiness Impact Statement• E c� 0 • U 3ffice of Zoning Staff Report and Business Impact Statement Interim Special Use Parking Purpose: The purpose of the amendment will allow "Interim Special Use Parking" to be located adjacent to, abutting or across from property zoned T3-R, T3-L or T3-O provided that certain site conditions are met, and operation plans are enforced. The city recognizes the growing demand for accessible parking near residential neighborhoods and it is in the best interest of the general welfare for the city. In addition, the amendment provides a renewal period for interim special use parking. Estimated Direct Economic Impact: • No direct compliance cost is associated with the amendment. Business owners must elect to participate in the program. • It is anticipated that this amendment will have a net positive impact on City's revenues. • In Fiscal Year 23-24, 10 Interim Permit applications were issued. Estimated Number of Businesses to be Impacted: • The estimated number of businesses to be impacted by this amendment cannot be determined due to the ambiguities created by the voluntary nature of the amendment. • All applicants filing for a Special Permit (Interim Parking) through the Office of Zoning will be impacted.
