WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") is committed to improving the infrastructure and quality of life for its residents; and WHEREAS, impact fees in the form of a mobility fees are collected by Miami -Dade County ("County") from developments to fund transportation and mobility improvements; and WHEREAS, it is essential that these mobility fee funds collected by the County are utilized effectively to benefit the areas from which they are collected; and WHEREAS, the City seeks to ensure that the mobility fee monies collected from developments in the City are used for improvements within the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to analyze the mobility fee paid to Miami - Dade County. Section 3. The City Manager is further directed to seek strategies to ensure that the mobility fee monies collected from developments within the City of Miami are used for improvements within the City of Miami. Section 4. The City Manager shall report the findings and proposed strategies to the City Commission within 120 days. Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
