A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA ("MIAMI DDA") TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE
AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF MIAMI FOR THE PURCHASE,
INSTALLATION, OPERATION, MAINTENANCE, AND ALL
RELATED COSTS OF THE DRONE FIRST RESPONDER PROGRAM
("DFR PROGRAM") WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHIC BOUNDARIES OF
THE MIAMI DDA IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE
HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($150,000.00); FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE CEO/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE
ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR SAID PURPOSE, SUBJECT TO
CITY ATTORNEY APPROVAL AND CITY COMMISSION
APPROVAL.
WHEREAS, the Downtown Development Authority of the City of Miami ("Miami DDA") desires
to continue its agreement with the City of Miami for the provision of enhanced law enforcement services
within the geographic boundaries of the Miami DDA; and
WHEREAS, the Drone First Responder Program ("DFR Program") provides aerial intelligence to
law enforcement agencies, optimizing resource allocation; and
WHEREAS, the DFR Program utilizes drones to rapidly respond to calls for service, leading to
safer and more effective emergency responses; and
WHEREAS, the DFR Program is the first drone first responder deployment in the City of Miami
and will be dedicated for law enforcement services within the boundaries of the Miami DDA; and
WHEREAS, Miami DDA finds that the adoption of this Resolution will enhance the health, safety,
and welfare of the citizens, business owners, and visitors of the Miami DDA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Board of Directors of the Miami DDA authorizes the CEO/Executive Director to
negotiate and execute an Agreement with the City of Miami for the purchase, installation, operation,
maintenance, and all related costs of the Drone First Responder Program ("DFR Program") within the
geographic boundaries of the Miami DDA in the amount not to exceed one hundred fifty thousand dollars
($150,000.00).
Section 3. The Board of Directors also authorizes the CEO/Executive Director to execute any and
all documents necessary for said purpose, subject to the City Attorney approval and City Commission
approval, as may be necessary for said purpose.

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
