RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD SEI'TS
2ND, 1926, FOR THE PURPOSE OF VOTING. FOR QE;
AGAINST THE PROPOSED EXTENSION OF THE CORPORATE:
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, AND DECLARING THE
SAID EL' CTION TO HAVE BEEN CARRIED AND IS FORCE
AND EFFECT.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 420, adopted July 7th, 1925, the
Commission
said City,
2nd, 1925,
of the City of Miami extended the corporate limits- �of
and provided for the holding of an election September
for the purpose of allowing all eligible persons re-
siding tit thin the territory proposed to be incorporated to vote
on same, and
{H%REAS, upon canvassing the returns of the various inspectors
and clerks of said election, the Commission finds the results of
the said election to be as follows:

1: What the Cow:nissiou finds, and hereby certifies and de-
clares, that the especial Election veld 6epto.nber '411d, 1946, for the
purpose of voting for or aEainst the extension of the corporate
limits of the City of .:iami as set forth and defined in Ordinance

is hereby certified and declared to have been duly voted for a
parried by a majority of the qualified electors residing within tha
territory described in said Ordinance, as required by law at said
Speoial Slection, and that the returns of the inspeotore and clerks ar
found to be correot.
2: That from and. after the adoption of this resolution the
corporate limits of the City of Miami, Dade County, Florida, shall
extend over and include all the territory described and set forth in :!
Ordinanoe No. 420, adopted July 7th, 192 5, and shall incorporate all
the inhabitants within the said. territory.
• 3: That the returns of the inspectors and. clerks, including the
ballots, tally sheets, oaths of office and certificates of eleotion
shall be replaoed in the ballot boxes and the same shall be sealed
and delivered to the City Clerk as custodian thereof.
