LINES INTO MIAMI.
WHEREAS, there is very urgent need and neoeseity_.
immediate extension of the Seaboard Railway into the City of.
Miami in order to facilitate transportation and relieve ,the
present congestion in Miami, and
WHEREAS, at the present time there exists an embargo of .
freight by the Florida East Coast Railway as well as by various
steamship companies entering the city of Miami making it nearly
impossible to obtain certain classes of goods and building
materials for the 'development of the City of Miami,
NOW, TR ZFOPE, BE IT R: SOLVED BY THE COMISSION OF THE CITY
OF "IA:I: That the City Commission urges and requests the Inter -
State Commerce Co7:unission to dispense with the formal meeting and
hearing on the application of the Seaboard Railway Company to
extend its lines into Miami and asp: that permission be Granted
immediately atlowing the said Seaboard Railway Company to immedi-
ately oroceed with its work and extension of its lines to Miami,
Florida.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of September, A. D., 1925.
