A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
BUILDING INSPECTOR OF THE CITY OF MIAMI TO
ISSUE A SPECIAL BUILDING PERMIT TO GEORGE
E. T. WELLS AND G. LLOYD PREACHER 00. FOR
THE ERBOTION OF L HOTEL BUILDING AS 33T
FORTH HEREIN.
WHEREAS, by an amendment to the City Building Code, it
is provided that in the ereotion and construction of buildings
to a greater height than 125 feet, or 10 atories, it shall be
necessary to submit plans and specifications for auoh building
to the Building Inspeotor and the Director of Publio Servioe
for examination, and upon proper reoommendation from said 0ffi-
oiale, the City Commission may authorize the issuance of a Spe-
cial Building Permit, and
WHEREAS, George E. T. Wells and G. Lloyd Preacher Co. have
submitted plans and specifioationa for the erection of a hotel
building to be looated on Lot 1, Block 102 North, City of Miami,
to a height of 175' or 16 stories, said building to be known as
"Watson Hotel", and
WHEREAS, the Director of Publio 4ervioe has submitted his
written approval of the plans and specifications for said building,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY 1
OF MIAMI: That the Building Inspector be, and he is hereby, author-
ized and directed to issue a Special Building Permit to said George
E. T. Welts and G. Lloyd Preacher Company for the erection and son-
etruotion of the eaid "Watson Hotel" to be looated as aforesaid.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of August, A. D. 1925.
