A RESOLUTION ON THE DEATH 0!
WILLIAM JENNINGS BRYAN.
WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we
learn of the death of William Jennings Bryan, a muoh be-
loved and respeoted oitisen of Dade County, Florida,
every great country and oommunity reoognises and honors
its great men, William Jennings Bryan was considered to
have been one of the nation's great men and it may well
be said of him that his life was one of service in its
true sense, and
WHEREAS, in the death of Mr. Bryan the nation
has lost one of its greatest statesmen, Florida one of
her most honorable citizens and Miami one of her best
friends, his passing is as he would have it without lin-
gering pain in the very midst of his aotivities and plans
he was summoned and obeyed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMIS-
SION SION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI: That we extend to hie imme-
diate family our sincere eni heart -felt sympathy in their
great bereavement.
BE IT FURTHER RF,SOLVED that the City Clerk of
the City of Miami be and he is hereby directed to trans-
mit a certified copy of tris resolution to the wife of our
departed friend, William Jennings Bryan.
