A RESOLUTION .ACCEPTING THE BIDS OF JOHbi J. QUINN
COMPANY FOR STORM AND SANITARY SEWERS AND LATER-
AL SEWERS AND C. H. LITE FOR SEWER CASTINGS; AU-
THORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACTS FOR THE WORK;
AND DIRECTING THE RETURN OF CERTIFIED CHECKS AND
BID BONDS OF THE UNSUCCESSFUL BIDDERS.
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that upon tabulation
of the bids received April 21st, 1925, for the construction of'
storm and sanitary sowers and lateral sewers under city sewer
contracts Sr-43 to Sr-48, both inclusive, and for castings to
be used in the construction of said sewers, it appears that the
bid of John J. Quinn Company is the lowest and beat bid received
for the construction of said sewers and that the bid of C. H.
Lyne is the lowest and best bid received for furnishing the
castings,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commission of the
City of Miami:
1: That the bid of John J. Quinn Company for construction
of storm and sanitary sewers and lateral sewers under city sewer
contracts Sr-43 to Sr-48, both inclusive, at and for the unit
prices set forth therein, be, and tue same is hereby, accepted.
2: That the bid of C. H. Lyne for castings for sewers to
be constructed under contracts 3r-43 to Sr-48, both inclusive, at
and for the unit prices set forth therein, be and the same is
hereby accepted.
3: That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to execute contracts, for and on behalf of the City
of Miami, with said John J. Quinn Company and C. H. Lyne for the
said sewers and castings, and that the City Manager require
John J. Quinn Company to furnish surety bond in the amount of the
contract prices, conditioned for tue performance of the work in
accordance with such contracts.
