A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACOLTT THE OFFER OP F. N.
TAVENER TO SELL TO THE CITY CERTAIN
PROPERTY SET FORTH THEREIN, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DIS-
MISS THE CONDEMNATION SUIT INSTITUTED
BY THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the 0ity Attorney was by Resolution No.
1595, adopted July 29, 1924, authorized to institute pro-
ceedings in the name of the City of Miami, Florida, to acquire
by eminent domain a certain portion of Lot 14, Blocs 14,
Spring Garden, and certain other property set forth in said
Resolution No. 1595, and
WHEREAS, F. B. Tavener, agent for the owner of Lot
14, Block 14, Spring Garden, has submitted en offer to sell
to the City that portion of said lot now being condemned, to-
gether with five feet of Lots 12 and 13, Bloc:: 14, Spring
Garden, at and for the price of 415,500.00,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commission of
the City of Miami:
1: That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to accept the offer of said F. B. Tavener, agent
for the owner of said property, and to issue a voucher of the
City for the purchase prieethereof.
2: That the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, author-
ized and directed to dismiss the condemnation proceedings for
the acquirement of said property.
