AN ORDINANCE PIXINC THE MtL`4AGE AND LEVYING
TAXES IN THE OtTY OP ti!AUI, ?LORtDA, ?OR THE
YEAR BEIINNtNO JJLY 1, 1025, AND ENDING JUNE

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the lity of Liiami,
Florida, met as a Board of Equalization, legal notice of such
moetings having theretofore been duly given as requird by law,
did examine the assessment roll of the city tax assessor showing
the taxable property in said City for the year beginning July 1,
1925, and ending June 30, 1926, and did meet for the purpose of
hearing oomplaints an3 receiving testimony as to the value of
any property, real o1 personal, as fixed by the city tax assess-
or and perfecting, levying ard equalizing said assessments, and
did make such changes in said assessment roll, and did revise and
equalize such assessments as in the opinion and judgment of said
Board of Equalization was deemed necessary and proper: and
WHEREAS, the said City Commission have been duly noti-
fied by the City Manager that the total sum of valuations of tax-
able property, both real and personal, in the City. of Miami, Flo-
rida, for the year beginning July 1, 1925, and ending June 30,
1926, is $166,898,974.00;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COL'Q:iISSION OF
THE, CITY OF 4IAMI;
SECTION 1: That there shall be and is hereby levied
upon the aasessed value of all property both real and personal
in the City of Miami, Florida, a tax of 7t mills on the dollar
fo ' the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1925, and ending June 30,
1926, for the benefit of the _General Fund of the City of Miami.

1926,for the benefit of Lighting of the City of Miami.
SECTION 5: 1'het there shall be anti ie hereby levied
upon the aaeeesed value of all property both real on personal
in the City of Miami, florid , a tax of iQ mills on the dollar
for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1925, and ending June ;fib,
1926, for the benefit of the Publicity Pund of the City of Miami.
SECTION 4: That there shall be and is hereby levied
upon the assessed value of all property both real and personal in
the City of Miami, Florida, a tax of 5 mills on the dollar for
the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1925, and ending June 30, 1926,
for the benefit of the Sinking Fund and of the Interest Fund of
the City of Liiami.
SECTION 5: The foregoing ordinance is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure on the ground of urgent public need
for the preservation of property of the City.
SECTION 6: The reading of this ordinance on two sepa-
rate days is hereby dispensed with by a four -fifths vote of the
members of the Commission of theCity of Miami.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of July, 1925.
