BB IT ORDAINED BY THE ,COMMISSION OP THE CITY OP k I AI,II: Suction 1: That it shall be unlawful for any dog to be at large at any time in the City of Miami, '1orida, unless said dog is muzzled as hereinafter provided, or unless said dog has been vaccinated against rabbios and registered in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. Seotion 2: If the owner of any dog shall elect to muzzle said dog be shall use a proper muzzle completely covering the mouth and nose of said dog in such, a manner as to prevent said dog from biting, or from lioking any object that may have been bitten. Section 3: If the owner of any dog shall elect to have said dog vaccinated he shall cause said dog to be vaccinated by some graduate veterinarian approved by the Division of Health of said City. Said Veterinarian to use a serum approved by said Division of Health. That every veterinarian who vaccinates any such dog, either male or female, within tha City of Miami, shall collect his fee for same from the owner of the dog, and shall issue a oertifioate of vaooination to such owner, stating the name of the owner, a brief description of the dog, the date of vaccination and the fee collected by him for same; provided, however, that the fee charged by ritual) veterinarian for snob vaaai.nation, inoluding furnishins the vaooine Material and issuing suoh vaooination oar- tifiaate ► shall not in any case exoeed the sum of two do llere and fifty gents, • Section 4= tipbn the reeeipt of oertificate said owner will forthwith apply to the Director of ?inance of said City for a certificate of registration and Said Direetor of Finance shall furnish said owner with a smalls meta' crow en which shall appear the word "VACCI ATHD" and a registration number and date, .and on the reverse side of said tag shall appear the words "MIAMI - GOOD UNTIL On =IR FROM DATH OF ISSUZ". At the same time said Director of Finance shall furnish said owner a cortt fioate of registration which shall be made in triplicate, one oopy to be retained by said Director of Finance and one copy to be filed in the Office of the City Health Division. For said registration the owner of said dog shall pay to the Direotor of Finance a registration fee as provided by law. Section 5: It shall be unlawful for any person owning or having the care, custody or oobtrol of any dog to permit said dog to be at large in the City of Miami unless said dog is muzzled or has been vaocinated against rabilies within one year next pre- oeding and.registerecf/s hereinbefore provided, and the fact that said dog has not been vaccinated within one year, and the failure of the owners or person having the custody and oontrol of said dog to produce a certificate of. registration shall be prima facie evidenoe that said dog has not been registered. Section 6: Any person who shall fail to comply with any provision of this ordinanoe or shall permit or suffer any dog to be at large in said City unless muzzled or vaooim ted in the manner herein specifically provided shad be fine not to exceed $26.00, or imprisonment in the City prison not to exceed ten days, or both said fine and imprisonment: Section 7; ••Nothing herein shall be Construed as repealing or amending Seotione 657 to 668, inolusive, of the City Code of Miami., relative to the impouding or muzzling of dogs except in- aofer as said sections are clearly inconsistent herewith.
