DA. On this 19th day of November, 1925, the Commission of the City of Miami., Flor:tde, met at the Oity Hall in said City at 3:00 o'clock P. I.I., pursuant to an edjorrnment taken November 16th,1925. The meeting was called to order by Chairman E. C. 7Iomfh, who pre- sided during the meeting. The following members of the Commission were present: E. C. Romfh, J. E. Lummus, J. I. Nilson, C. D. Leffler. ABSENT: J. H. Gilman. CONTRACT FOR STORM SEWERS AUTHORIZED -ON N. BAYSHORE DRIVE The City Manager submitted a communication addressed to him from the Dirootor og Publio Servioe in referenoe to certain storm sewer work necessary to be oomplete3 ahead of paving on North Bayshore Drive and reporting the bids of certain oontrao- tors for the work. Said oommunieution is as follows: Miami, Florida, November 19, 1925,.., Mr. F. $.Wharton, Oity Manager, Miami, Florida. Dear Sir: - In order to complete .the work ahead of paving on North Bay - shore Drive, it is requested that authority be granted by the Come mission for the construotion of a section of future storm sewer, at the interseotion of NE 4th Street and North Bayshore Drive. This work consists of approximately 210 lineal feet of 42"x 72" storm sewer and junction box for existinn 36"x:36" storm sewer on Bayshore Drive. We have the following bids on this work: J. B. McCreary Company $w 9,747.60 J.L.Kelley Construction Company 10,275.00 The McCrary Company are low bidders, and. it is recommended that contract be let to them for this week, in order that this section of the storm sewer may be completed and out of the way of paving work. In the meantime, the remaining section of this storm sewer will be inoluded in a future resolution, as will also this sec tion, so that proper assessments against abutting property may be made. Whereupon the following resolution was introduo by Mr. Wilson, who moved its adoption: Upon vote RESOLUTION NO. 2256. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF CER- TAIN STORM SEWERS AND ACCEPTING BID OF AND AWARD- ING CONTRACT FOR THE WORK TO J. B. MoCRARY COMPANY, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COLILiISSI0IN OF THE CITY OF LIAMI: 1. That the construction of a section of storm sewer at the in- terseotion of NE 4th Street and North Bayshore Drive be, and the same is hereby, authorized. 2. That the bid of J. B. LloCrary Company of $9,747.60 for the construction of said sewer is hereby aocepted and contract for the work awarded to said Company. 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to e>tecuted, for and on behalf of the City, oontraot with said J. B. McCrai•y Compaany for said sewer work. being seconded by Mr. Lummus, the resolution was adopted by the following - AYES: Messrs. Romfh, Leffler, Lummus, Wilson. NOES: None. ACCEPTING DEDICATIONS IN NEW SUBDIVISION The Director of Public Servioe submitted a plat of a subdivision to be known as Stephens Park which he had approved as complying with the regulations of the De- partment of Public Service and the said plat showing tho dedications of oortain streets to the use of the Public and ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF TI.3 STREETS, AVENUES AND HIGHWAYS TN THE RESUBDIVISION TO BE KNOWN AS "ST_:PHENS PARK" was intrpduoed by Idr. Lummus. Upon motion of 1,.r it was resolved that the charter requirement thu on two separate days, unless dispensed with by ;, be dispensed with and that the said ordinance be ing.
