BOARD OF EQUALIZATION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA. 1926, the Commissionof the City of Miami, Florida, met the City Hall in said City, at 2:00 o'clock P. M., pur- July 15 th , 1925, with the following members; of the Board P. A. Henderson, J. E. Lummus, J. H. Gilman, C. D. Leffler. ABSENT: J. I. Wilson. PROTEST OF EARL V. PADGETT ACTED UPON BY BOARD The written protest of Earl V. Padgett, filed with the Board at the meeting of July 13th, 1925, was taken up for oonsideration by the Board and after duly con- sidering same it was deoided by the Board to reduoe the assessment on Lot 21 of Blook 30 North, and on motion duly made and seconded, it was ordered reduced from the sum of $2650.00 to $2350.00, thereby making a reduction of ¢300.00. PROTEST OF FLORIDA EAST COAST HOTEL COMPANY DENIED The written protest of T. B. Bennett, Tax Agent for the Florida East Coast Hotel Company, was taken up for oonsideration by the Board.and after duly considering same it was deoided by the Board not to reduoe the asseeement•as made by the City Assessor and on motion duly made and seconded the request for a reduotion in the assessment was denied and it was ordered that the Assessment of the Golf Grounds of the Florida East Coast Hotel Company in Section 35, Township 53 South, Range 41East, at $330,000,as made by the City Assessor for theyear 1925, stand as made by the City Assessor. And the Board of Equalisation having considered every written objeotion fil- with it in respeot to any assessments, as well as having considered all other ob- jeotions filed with it or made to it and no further objections having been made or presented to said Board by any person, his agent or attorney, considering himself aggrieved, and having upon its own motion made a oareful examination of the Gener- al Assessment Roll for the purpose of increasing or diminishing valuations there- in and for furnishing names of persons and deeoriptions of property improperly omitted from said Roll, and fixing the values of said property, and of oorreoting errors and supplying the dafioienoiea found therein, has deduced from said Roll Three Hundred Dollars.(*300.00) from tt:e valuation of the Real Estate made by the Assessor, and has determined the.aggregate value of such Real Estate to be One Hundred Eighty -Four Million One Hundred Thirty -Four Thouaand, Nine Hundred Thir- ty Dollars ($184,134,930.00); and the total value of the Personal Property to be Four Million, Six Hundred Ninety-ThreerThousand, Seven Hundred Ninety -Pour Dol- lars ($4,693,794.00); and no further business appearing before the said Board, the Board does asoertain and find that the assessment of property as shown by the General Assessment Roll submitted by the Assessor and as revieod by and determin- ed by the Board of Equalisation, is just and correct and shall be, and ie hereby, approved and oonsidered final. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business ooming before the said Board of Equalisation, the Beard adjourned sine die. ATTEST: CHAIR OF EQUALIZATION
