ed bids for the construction of a bridge over the Miami River at
N. M. Fifth Street, and
WHEREAS, the only bid for the work received was submitted
by the Comer-Ebsary Foundation Company, which bid, after compari-
son with the estimates of post made by the Director cf Public
Service, is satisfaotozy tc the Commission and it is deemed to
the best interests of the City tc award the contract for the work
to the said Comer-Ebsary Foundation Company,
ROIL, TBSRM'ORS, BE I1 RESOLVED by the Ccmmi eaten cf the City
of Miami:
1: That the proposal and bid of the Comer-Ebaary Foundation
Ccmpany tc furnish all materials, labor and :jeans for the erec-
tion, a cnstruc ti cn and equipment cf a bridge over the Liam i Ri-
ver at N. W. Fifth Street at and for the unit prices set forth
in their eaid proposal and bid in accordance with the plans and
specifications therefor, be, and the same is hereby, accepted
and the contract for the work awarded to them.
2: 1'ha t the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed tc enter intc contract, fcr and on behalf of the
City of Miami, with the said Ccme r-Ebsary Foundation Company for
the said wcrk and tc require the said Contractor tc furnish sure-
ty bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the estimated
ocntraot cost indemnifying the City against any loss by reason
cf the contractor nct completing the ocntraot in accordance with
the contract and plans and epecif ioations, both ocntraot and

N.W.5th Street Bridge over the Miami River, and would advise that
advertisements were plaoed in the Engineering -News Record, Manufaoturers
Reoord, and daily papers of Miami and Jacksonville. In addition
to this, the attached notioe to oontraotore were sent to the following
firms, whom we thought would be interested in making bide on any or sii
the work:
