A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
FINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE WELLS FARGO BASK
& UNION TRUST COMPANY TO RELEASE AND TURN
OVER TO REDWOOD MANUFACTURERS COMPANY SUB-
STITUTE VOUCHER FORWARDED TO THEM UPON
CERTAIN CONDITIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS HERE-
IN SET FORTH.
WHEREAS, the City Commission did by Resolution No. 1881,
passed and adopted the 12th of August, 1924, authorise the
Director of Finance to issue City voucher in the sun of 424,806.0E
to Redwood Manufacturers Company tos replace the city ♦oucher,
heretofore issued in like amount and destroyed by fire,upon the
proper bond being executed by the Redwood Manufacturers Company
indemnifying the City of Miami against any loss by reason of the
iesuanoe of such substitute voucher and further directing the City
Manager to execute a bond in favor of the Bank of Bay Biscayne to
protect said Bank from any loss that might be sustained by reason
of said destroyed voucher, and
WHEREAS, the Wells Fargo Bank & Union Trust Company have
by telegram dated August 23rd, 1924, agreed to hold the City
harmless against any loss by reason of delivery of such substitute
voucher, which was forwarded to them to be delivered to the Red-
wood Manufacturers Company upon the said Company issuing indemnity
bond in favor of the City, if the City woula authorize the de-
livery of the said voucher without the execution and issuanoe of
an indemnity bona by said Redwood Manufacturers Company,
NOW, THEREFO1ih, BE IT F4:SOLVED by the Commission of the
City of Miami:
1. That the Director of Finanoe be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to authorize the ',dells Fargo Bank & Union
Trust Company to deliver that certain substitute voucher in their
