}J- 39 , and the City Manager, under the direction of the Com-
mission of the City of Miami, has prepared and -filed with the
City Clerk plans and specifications of such improvement and an es-
timate of the Bost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of
the incidental expenses of said improvement, and

Charter has been made that the Commission of the City of Miami
would on the 5th day of 41479.i , 192 4 , at the
City Hall, at QQ A. It. o'eloek, receive and hear the re-
monstrances of alA

resolution ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances re-
ceived having been heard and considered by the Commission of the
City of Miami.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commission of the City of
Miami: What the said resolution of the Commission of the City
of I:Miami ordering said Hichwap Improvement No.

BE IT FURS RESOLVED that the City Clerk cause to be pu-
blished at least 3 times in the MIGMI
a newspaper of general circulation in

paper of general circulation throughout the State, published a_ t
Jacksonville, Florida, a notice calling for sealed bids to be
received by the Commission of the City of Miami on the .:6th day
of August , 192 4 , at 10:00 A. c,I. o'clock, for
the construction of the s; icrwork. Said notice shall state the
improvement is to be constructed, and paid for in cash, under
Section 56 of the City Charter. Any bid covering work to be
done under more than one resolution shall be in such form as to
permit a separation to be made of the cost under each resolution•
ach proposal must be accompanied by a certified check upon a
bank or trust com?any o Plor ida , in the amount of 22 / of the
amcunt of the bid, payable to the City of Miami to insure the ex-
ecution of a contract and bend to carry out the work in accord-
ance with the plans and spec if ica ticns . All bids will be opened
and award of contract made or all bids rejected. -:±ter an aiaard
has been made, the checks of all bidders, ether than the one to
whom the contract has been av,arded, shall be returned. In de-
fault of the entering into of such contract, the certified check
required to accompany such bid shall be forfeited to the City of
Miami, Florida , net as a penalty, but as liquidated damages for
the delay or additional cast which may be incurred by the City,
by reason of such default. Bo bid will be permitted to be with-
drawn for any reason cha tever after having been filed faith the
Clerk.
