V/K REAS, the Commission of the City of Miami, by resolution
passed and adopted the let day of July , 1924.

Sr. 94 , and the City Manager, under' the diree on of the Com-
mission of the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the
City Clerk plans and specifications of such improvement and an es-
timate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the coat of
the incidental expenses of said improvement, and
Inv' AS, due notice by publ'io%tion as required by the City
Charter has been made that the Commission of the City of Miami
would on the 8th day of duly , 1024 , at the
CityHall, at y:u0 A. M. o'clock, receive and har ethe re-
montrances of all interested persons to the confirmation of said
resolution ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances re-
ceived having been heard and considered by the Commission of the
City of Miami.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commission of the City of
Miami: ?hat the said resolution of the Commission of the City
of I:iiami ordering said Sanitary Sewer Improvement no.
Sr. 94 , District Sr. 94 , be, and the same is hereby, con-
armed.
BE IT FUR= RESOLVED that the City Clerk cause to be pu-
blished at least 'o times in the Miami
Herald , a newspaper of general circulation in
Miami, Florida, and in The Florida Times Union , a news-
paper of general circulation throughout the State, published at
Jacksonville, Florida, a notice calling for sealed bias to be
received by the Commission of the City of Miami on tha 22„i day
of . July , 1924 , at 10:00 A. N. o'clock, for
the construction of the said work. . Said notice shall state the
improvement is to be constructed, and paid fcr in cash, under
Section 56 of the City Charter. Any bid coveria, work to be
done under more than one resolution shall be in such form as to
permit a separation to be made of the cost under each resolution.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check upon a
bank or trust company of Pier ida , in the amount of 22 0 of the
amcunt of the bid, payable to the City of Miami to insure the ex-
ecution of a contract and bend to carry out the work in accord-
ance with the plans and specifications. All bids will be opened
and award of contract made or all bids rejected. . ±ter an ay.ard
has been made, the checks of all bidders, other than the one to
vihom the contract has been av,arded, shall be returned. In de-
fault of the entering into of such contract, the certified check
required to accompany such bid shall be forfeited to the City of
Miami, Florida, net as a penalty, but as liquidated damages for
the delay or additional cost which may be incurred by the City,
by reason of such default. Bo bid will be permitted to be with-
drawn for any reason nhatever aster having been filed with the
Clerk.
