PURPOSE OP PAYING POR STREET LIORTI10.
WRBREiS, the City Manager reports that it is necessary
that an appropriation of '5000.00 be made for the purpose of
paying for street lighting for the remainder of the current fiscal
year.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commission of the City
of Miami:
That the sum of $5000.00 be, and is hereby, appropriated
from the Reserve for Contingenoies to the Street Lighting Fund
for the purpose aforesaid.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of June, A. D. 1924.

Gentlemen:
During the present fiscal year, there has
been a larger enorease in Street lighting than was
anticipated with the result that we will be 46,000.00 •
shy in this fund.
The average monthly expense for Street Light-
ing is now about 47400.00 per month and the balance
on hand in this fund is now approximately 42500.00
after paying the May bills.
I will therefore ask that you make an appro-
priation of 45000.00 whioh will be sufficient to take
care of the Street lighting bills for the balance of
this fiscal year. This appropriation will have to come
from the "Reserve for continuances" fund.
