WHEREAS, the firm of Harrington, Howard & Leh,
Consulting Engineers, have offered to do the Engineering
work in connection with the proposed bridge over the
Miami River at N. We Fifth Street as set fourth in
their proposal under date of April 9th, 1924, and
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Commission, alto*,r
due consideration, that the said offer is fair And
reasonable aud thr:t same should be accepted, excepting
therefrom, however, that part of the proposal of said
Harrington, Howard & Ash whereby they offer to furnish
a resident engineer to supervise the construction of the
bridge and to furnish progress reports and monthly
estimates,
NOil, THE_. :FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commission
of the City of Miami:
1: 2hat the proposal of said Harrington, Howard
& Ash to ao the engineering -fork in connection with the
proposed bridge over the Miami ;fiver at N. W. Fifth
Street, excepting their offer to furnish a resident
engineer to supervise the construction of said bridge,
at <;:nd for the su:a of Forty-seven hundred fifty dollars

.ad conditions of said proposal.
2: That the City Manager be, and is hereby, authorized
and directed to enter into aF reeraent with said Herrington
Howard& Ash for engineering services in connection with the
proposed bridge over the Miami :liver st N. .. Fifth
street as s_:t foyth in their oropoeal, but with the exception
hereinabove set forth._

I am submitting herowith a proposal from
Harrington, Howard and ♦sh, made by their nr. Ash
while he was in miemi a few days ago,in reference
to their furnishing plane and a peoifioations for
our proposed 5th ot. nridge.
I believe it would be a good idea to
have tneae plane and auecificationa gotten out so
that wen the bond fund money becomes available, we
will be in a position to award contracts without
any delay.
