A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY. COMMISSION:
CHANGING THE NAME OF THE MIAMI 'CITY.
HOSPITAL TO THE "JAMES M.' JACKSON
MEMORIAL HOSPITAL."
WHEREAS, in the death of Dr. James M. Jackson, which
000ured at his residence in Miami on the 2nd day of April, 1924,
the Miami City Hospital lost its beet friend, and,
WHEREAS, he was largely responsible for the building
and equipping of the hospital and maintaining it as to its
present high standard, and,
FHEREAS, as City health officer or as anindividual
he was ever faithful in his efforts to preserve the health of
all the people of Miami, and believing that his long and faith-
ful service to the City and her people should be commemorated
by a suitable and appropriate memorial,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI:
That the name of the Miami City Hospital be and is
hereby changed to the "JAMES M. JACKSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL."
PASSED and aaopted this WTH1 day of April, 1924.
