BE IT ORDAINED BY TIM COMI lSSION 0P VIE CITY 0P MIAMI:
SECTION 1: That Section 90, of an ordinance approved
July 4, 1919, entitled, "An Ordinance providing fire limits
and regulations covering the construction, alteration, equip-
ment, repair or removal of buildings or atruotures and provid-
ing a penalty for the violation of this Ordinance", be and
the same ie,hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 90
(1) No vault, cellar or basement used for private pur-
poses shall be allowed or constructed under the sidewalk or
street of the City of Miami, Florida, without first obtaining
a special permit from the City Commission of the City of
Miami, Florida.
(2) Where a vault, cellar or basement is built under the
sidewalk, a wall shall be constructed to retain the adjacent
banks.
(3) The roofs of all vaul.te, cellars and basements shall
be of approved incombustible material. Glans, when used in the
roof® of the vaults, cellars or basements, shall measure not
more than 16 square inches to one light.
(4) All vaults, cellars or basements eha1l be thoroughly
ventilated.
0TION 2: Thin ordinance is hereby declared to be en
emergency measure on the ground of urgent publio need for the
preservation of peace, health, safety and property.
