Icy and M. Leffler preeent far, the purpose of opening the bids reeelved September 23rd, for the construction of piers and launch landings at the Bag, Front Park, On s000unt of the neoeseity ofhaving the work oompletod et an early data it was decided to let the low bidder for the work proceed at ones, suoh option to be confirmed at the next regular mooting with 8 quorum present. The bids reeeived for the work wore au fol- low: aankins Sngineering & Construction Cow 61,324.46 Markle & Comer-Ebeary Foundation Comp8ny..........49,164.60 Henry S. Kollar It appearing that the bid of the Comer-Rbsory Foundation Company was the lowest and best bid reoeivod the City Manager was Instructed tolet the contractor proceed with the work and that the action would be oonfirmed at a subsequent meeting with a quorum present. The Oity Manager and the Director of -Public Servioe reported that all the preliminazy work in oonneotion with the N. Ed. 5th Street Bridge had been cm plated and that the Otty was in position to advertise for bids. It was tba opinion of the members of the Oommission present that the culling for bide should not be delayed and the Oilar Mana- ger was inatruoted to publish notice (milling for scaled proposals for the work to be received Tuesday, Ootober 21st, 1924. * * * * * 4 * * * There not being a quorum present to do business there was 'no meeting held on the re- gular meeting date of October 7th, 1924.
