RECEPTION OF BIDS AND AWARDING OF CONTRACT FOR ADDITIONS AND ALTERATIONS AT HOSPITAL This being the date set for the reception of bids for construction of Public Ward Building and alterations to Nurses Home and to Private Ward and Maternity Building at the James M. Jackson Memorial Hospital at 10;00 c'clock A. Li. the bids received were ordered opened and read. Bids for the work were made by the following contrac- tors; George Jahn, P. H. Foster, and John B. 0rr, and after the same were read, they were referred to the Director of Public Service and the Architect for tabulation. Upon tabulation it appearing that the bid of F . E. Foster under alternate estimates Nos. 1 and 5 at and for the sum of 4106,065.00 for conetru.cting Public Ward Building, under said alternate estimates 1 and 5, making alteration to the Nurses Home and to the Private and Maternity Ward Building, was the lowest and best biri received and the Commission deeming it advisable to let the contract for all the werk to 0116 contrac- tor it was decided to also let the contract for building corridor to F. H.Poster at the bid price of 4,43,600.00. Thereupon a resolution accepting the bid of 2. H.
