L Rffi8OLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING TEE CITY
MANAGER AND MS DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO
SECURE ESTIMATES FOR THE DIVING OB' PILES AND
CONSTRUCTION OF TEMPORARY SEA WALL UPON TEE BAY
FRONT OP THE CITY OH' MIAMI.
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Commission of the City •
of Miami, it is proper to begin the oonatruotion of a ass well
and the driving of piles and filling in of the Bay Front of
the City of Miami,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI :
That the City Manager and the Director of Publio Service
are hereby directed to promptly secure an estimate of the
cost of the driving of piles and the construction of a tempo-
rary sea wall, together with cost of making a fill on that por-
tion of the City Bay Park property north of and adjoining E1-
ser Pier, and thence north to Sixth Street, and extending from
the present upland eastward to the channel of the Bay, and as
far as the City is authorized to extend such fill by the War
Department of the United States Government.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this estimate be promptly
secured and report thereof made to the City Commission at the
earliest possible moment.
PASSED AND ADLPTED this 27th day of Novemoer,A. D.1923.
