Distriot _R-208 Highway Improvement No. 208
*.'hereas, the Commission Of the City of Miami, by reso-
lution passed and adopted the 23rd day of October 1923
ordered IjIghway improvement 208 , District H-208
and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
plans and specifications of such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
inoidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been wade
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the
30th day of ,0ctonar 192. __, at the City
Hall, at 9:00 a.m. o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami.

Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Coiission r.of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resolution of the Commission of
the City of Miami ordering said = iihway Irliprovement No. 208
District H-208 be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least 3 times in the iiIAMI HARALD
a newspaper of General circulation in '.:iarci, Florida, and in
FLOR I➢& SIBS—WJNION
a newspaper of ^eneral circulation throuEhout the State, pub-
lished at Jacksonville , Florida, a notice 'caliin for
sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City cf Ui4.mi
on the
llth dad, of December 19 23 , at 9:30 a.m.
o'clock, for the construction of tii7 said work, Said notice
shall state the improver:.ent is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 3o, of the City Charter. Any bid cover -
in;; work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in
ru ch form as to permit a separation to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each proposal roast be accompanied by a cer-
tified check upon a bank or trust company of Florida,in the j cunt
cf 2 % cf the account of the bid, payable to the City of Miami,
to insure the execution of 4 contract and bond to parry out the
work in accordance with the glans qnd specifications. All bids
will be opened and award cf contract i..ade or all bids rejected.
After an award has been made, the ;.;heckc of all bidders, other
than the one to whor.a the contract has baen awarded, shall be re-
turnee. In default of the Merin; into of such contract, the
certified check required to acco..)any such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of i iar:.i, Florida, not as a penalty, but ao
liquidated d:ar.a es for the delay or additional cost which nay
be incurred by the City, by reason cf such default, No bid
will be permitted to be withdr;J;tie. for any reason whatever after
raving been filed with the Clerk.
