Thereao. the Commission Of the City of Mimi, by reso-
lution passed and adopted the 2 rd day of Ootober .19 3
ordered Sidewalk Irovement Dietrict Sk, 1;
and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has preeared and filed with the City Clerk
plans and specifications of such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an eatimate of the cost of the
incidental exienses of said improvement, and whereas due•notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been made
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the
30th day oi October 1'e)2a._, at the City
9.00 a.m.
Hall, at ' o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested eeroone to the confirmation of said resolution
ordtring said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Coeimission of the City of Miami.
Therefore, De It Reeolved by the Commission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resolution of the Commission of
the City cf Miami ordering said eidewalk Improvement No. 49
District be, and*the same is hereby oonfirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least 3 times in the MIAMI ESRALD
a newspaper of 7eneral circulation in niami, Florida, and in
FLORIDA TIMBS-UNI011
a newspaper of eneral circulation throuc-hout the State, pub-
lished at Jacksonville Florida, a notice'callin: for
sled bids to bo received by the Comission of the City of Uiami
on the
llth day 33: December 19_23 , at 9;30 a.m.
o'cloek, for the construction of t1.5 said work, Caid notice
shall state the improvement is to te constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 5b, of the pity Charter. Any bid cover -
in' work to be done under more tnan one issolution shall be in
such form as to permit a separation to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each proposal 11W.Gt bi.! accompanied by a cer-
tified check upon a bank or trust company of Florida,in the apount
cf 2e'e cf the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Niami,
to insure the execution of a contract and bond to carry out the
work in accordance with tho plans and specifications. All bids
will 'oe opened and award of contract ezde or all bids rejected.
After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, ether
than the one to whom the contract has baen awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the merin:-; into of such contraot, the
certified check recilired to accom)any .3kich bid shall be for-
feited to the City of niami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated dr,maes for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. :To bid
will be per:itted to be withdrawn for aay reason whatever after
havinc,7*been filed with the Clerk.
