v:hereas, the Commission Of the City of Miami, by reso-
lution passed and adopted the 23r4 day of NatrihAr
ordered Sidewalk Improvement 47 , District sie_14,7
and the City Nanager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has ereeared and filed with the City Clerk
clans and specifications of such itLAovement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cot of the
incidental expenses of said imerovement, and whereas due notice
by publication as rewired by the City Charter has been made
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the
30th day of Ootober 192.3_, at the City
Hall, at 9;00 a.m. o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested peroons to the confirmation oi said resolution
ordtring said imerovement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Coamission of the City of Miami.
Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Ccmmission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resolttion of the Commission of
the City cf Miami ordering said _sidowpik Improvement No. 47
District Sk.47 be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be

a newspaper of general circulaticn in niami, Florida, and in
FLORIDA TIMM-UNION _
a newspaeer cf 'eneral circulation throw:Mut the State, pub-
lished at Jacksonville Florida, a notice'callin for
sealed bids to bo received'by the Coamission of the City of Miami
on the
llth day scembar 19 23 , at 9:30 a.m.

shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 5b, of the City Charter. Any bid cover -
in::: work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in
mach form as to permit a separation to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each proposal mvt be accomeanied by a cex-
tifie4 check ueon a bank or trust company of Florida,in the epount
cf 2-1% of the amount of the bid, eayable to the City of Uiami,
to insure the execution of a contract and bond to carry cut the
work in accordance with the plans and opecificatiens. All bids
will be opened and award of contract elade or all bids rejected.
After an award has been made, the check e of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the ccatract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the arteriive into of such contract, the
certified check reqaired to accoaeany such bid shall be fcr-
feited to the City of Miami, Florida, nct as a penalty, but as
liquidated dama.jez for the delay or additional cost which may
be ineurred by the City, by reason cf such default. No bid
will be eer:Litted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
having. been filed with the Clerk.
