the City of Miami, ha e prepared and filed with the City Clerk
plans and seecificatiene of such improvement and an eaticate
cf the coot thereof, includinu an estimate of the cost of the
inoidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has bean made
that the Coemiesion of the City of Miami would on the

been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami.

Therefore, De It Resolved by the Commiesion of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resolttion of the Commission of
the City of Miami orderir: said l'ary eejaprovement No. A9
District be, and the same is hereby =firmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be

lished at Jacksonville , Florida, a notice canine for
sealed bids' to be received by the Corr.ission of the City of itaut
on the
30th day of October 1923 a at 9!ao a.m.
o'clock, for the construction of the said work, Said notice
shall state the improveme.nr, lc to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Sectaon 5, sf thc! City Charter. Any bid cover -
in z work to be done under eore than one resolution shall be in
arch form as to permit a s.zearation to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each 4al must be accor:.panied by a cep.
tified check upon a bank or trust cowpany of Florida,in the 4mount
of 2i°4 of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami,
to insure the execution of a oontraot and bond to oarry out the
work in aocordance with the plans and speeifications. All bids
will be opened and award of contract made or all bids rejected.
After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the ocntract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the erserins into of such contract, the
certified check reqiired to accompany such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but ac
liquidated damar,es for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid
will be ?emitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
having been filed with the Clerk.
