RESOLUTION NO.
Thereat, the Commibsion Of the City of Miami, by repo-
lution passed and adopted the _th day of Septenber Ag 23
orderedSAnitary Sewer Improvement za , District 3r.81
and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has 1%rsdared and filed with the City Clerk
plans and specifications of such improvement and an petimate-
of the cost thereof, including an ettiMate of the cost of the
incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been made
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the
9th day of October 1923, at the City
Hall, at 9ID0 o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami.
Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Commission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resolttion of the Commission of
the City of Miami ordering sa dSunitary Sernrprovement Ne,S1
District Sr.S1 be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least 3 times in the MIAmJ I"OST
a newspaper of general circulation in Mani, Florida, and in
JAcvSOLV.ILLE TIMES.-UNIOX
a newspaper of :eneral circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at Jacks3nville , Florida, a notice calling for
sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami
on the
30th day of onIolar 1923 , at 9:30 a.m.
o'clook, for the construction of the said work, Said notice
shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 5b, tf the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in
Slob form as to permit a separation to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cer-
tified check upon a bank or trust company of Florida,in the epount
of 2,107: of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami.,
to insure the execution of a oontraot and bond to carry out the
work in accordance with the plans and specifications. All bids
will be opened and award of oontract made or all bids reected.
After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the mering into of such contract, the
certified check reqaired to accor„)any such bid ehall be for-
feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but ac
liquidated dama7es for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid
will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
having been filed with the Clerk.
