rhereas, the Commission Of the City of Miami, by reso-
lution passed and adopted the 28th day of Avgnet 19 ga
ordered Righw y Improvement 20 , District H-206
and the City NanaLer, under the direction of the Comm
the City of Miami, has prepared
plans and___ e.c;fi � -- erruirovement and an estimate
-vx- cos thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been wade
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the
4th day of September 192.1_, at the City
Hall, at 9:00 a.m. o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
.of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami.
Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Commission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resolution of the Commiesion of
the City of Miami ordering said Highway Improvement No. 206
District E-205 be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least 3 times in the MIAMII HERALD
a newspaper of Teneral circulation in tiiami, Florida, and in
THE FLORIDA TIL, ES-ULI0i
a newspaper of 7eneral circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at
sealed bids
on the
;Jacksonville , Florida, a notice calling for
to be received by the Commission of the City of itiami
25th day of September 1923 , at 9:30 a.m.
o'clock, for tre construction cf the said work, Said notice
shall state t :c irnprovem nt is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section jb, ef the City Charter. Any bid cover-
inz work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in
;v ch fora as to permit a separation to be wade of the coat under
each resolution. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cep,.
tifieJ check upon a bank or trust coua,Jary of Florida,in the emmouLt
of 2Jj;, cf the amount of the bid, payable to the City of t.:iami,
to insure the execution of a contract and bond to carry cut the
work in aocordance with the plans 4nd specifications. All bids
will be opened and av;ar1 of contract ride or all bids rejected.
After an award has been mace, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to r:hor, the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the curing into of such contract, the
certified check rega fired to accor..pany such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of 1:iar.,i, Florida, nct as a penalty, out ac
liquidated d..r..a:-es for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid
will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
havinw been filed with the Clerk.
