Whereas, the Comr,.i suicn of the City of Miami, by reso-
lution passed and adopted the 1 th day of July 1+
ordered SanitarySe+ver Improver.,ent , District Sr-79,
and the City manager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
.)lane and specifications of such improvement and an estimate
of the ocst thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
inoidentc,l expenses of said ir.:rrovement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been made
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the

Hall, at 9• CO A.M. o' clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and oonsidered by the Corar<:isaion of the City of Miami.

of Miami, Florida, that ui.e said reeoltl<taion of the Commission of

Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least twine

a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Floridak and in

a newspaper of neneral circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at Jacksonville , Florida, a notice calling for
sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami
on the
21st day of r.u=-ust 1%3 , at 940 A.M.
o'clock, for the co:istruction of the said work, Said notice
shall state the impecveri,ent is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 3o, ci the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under mere than one resolution shall be in
such form as to permit a seearation to be wade of the cost under
each resolution. Each ereec3a1 must be accoiaaanied by a cer-
tified check upon a bank or teust coi.;eany of Florida,in the amount
cf 2 j of the amount of the bid, ,.ayable to the City of Miami,
to insure the ee.ecution of a contract and bond to oarry out the
work in aocordance with the plans and specifications. All bids
will be opened and award of contract made or all bids reected.
After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the eterine into of such contract, the
certified check reee ired to accor..4 any such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of Liiarai, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated damages for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default, No bid
will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reascn whatever after
having been filed with the Clerk.
