Whereas, the Comr.iseion of the City of MIMMI, by reso- lution passed and adopted the ;7th, day of July_ 9 ordered Sanitary SewerImprovement 7e ,, Dietriot Sr.78_ . and the City manager, under the direction of the Commission of the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk plane and specifications of such improvement and an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the oust of the inoidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due noti0b by publication as required by the City Charter has been made that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the 1 Zk Ile t day of July 1)2_1_, at the City Hall, at 9.00 A.M. p' clock, receive and hear the remonetranoes of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution ordering said Improvement, and all remonstrances received having been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami. Therefore, Be It Re ,olved by the Comraission of the City of Miami, Florida, that the said resolunion of the Commission of the City of Miar©i ordering saidSenitarySewefraprovenent No. 78 District Sr•78 be, and the same is hereby confirmed. Be it Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be published at least twine in the eiHecal3 a newspaper of general oirculation in Miami, Florida, and in Jacksonville Times Uni:n a newspaper lished at sealed bids on the of general circulation throughout the State, pub - Jacksonville , Florida, a notice calling for to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami 2lst day of Au-ust 19 23 , at P.30 A.M. o'clock, for the construction of the said work, Said notice shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for in oash, under Section 3o, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover- ing work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in each form as to permit a separation to be trade of the cost under each resolution. Each )rcpcsal crust be accompanied by a cer- tified check upon a bunk or trust company of Florida,in the amount of 2Z-%d of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami, to insure the ee.ecut.on of a oontraot and bond to carry out the work in accordance with the plans (Ind specifications. All bide will be opened and award of contract wade or all bids rejected. After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re- turned. In default of the etering into of such contraot, the certified check required to accompany suoh bid shall be for- feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as liquidated darcaees for the delay or additional cost which may be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after having been filed with the Clerk.
